Take control of a brave investigator and explore the cursed mansions and mist-covered streets of Arkham and Innsmouth. Search rooms for evidence, question mysterious characters, collect useful equipment and confront horrifying creatures as your investigation unfolds.

Unlike the first edition, no player needs to become the Keeper. The companion app manages the hidden information, reveals new locations, introduces monsters and events, and guides your group through the story. This allows every player to work together against the horrors waiting in the dark.

HOW IT PLAYS

Choose a scenario and assemble your team of investigators. The app creates the opening map and introduces your objective, but much of the location remains hidden.

As you explore, new rooms and outdoor areas are revealed using double-sided map tiles. Investigators can search for clues, interact with characters, use items and spells, solve puzzles or fight monsters. The app responds to your choices and introduces new dangers as the investigation progresses.

Success requires teamwork, careful use of limited actions and a willingness to face the unknown. Damage can leave investigators wounded, while mounting horror may cause insanity and unpredictable behaviour.

IMPORTANT APP REQUIREMENT

Mansions of Madness: Second Edition cannot be played without the companion app. A compatible mobile device, tablet, Windows PC or Mac is required and is not included.

The base companion app is free. Optional digital scenarios and physical expansions are available separately.
