Fair Play First – How We Tackle Scalping at The Brick Hut

At The Brick Hut, we’re here for the builders, the collectors, the players and the community. Not the resellers looking to clear shelves and flip products for profit.

We know we can’t stop scalping entirely—but we can make it a lot harder. And more importantly, we can make sure genuine customers get a fair shot.

Here’s how we do it.

Product Limits That Actually Mean Something
On high-demand items (especially Pokémon), we apply strict purchase limits. These aren’t suggestions—they’re actively monitored and enforced to stop bulk buying.

Active Order Monitoring
We keep a close eye on orders. If something doesn’t look right—multiple orders, repeat attempts to bypass limits, suspicious activity—we step in. Orders can and will be adjusted or cancelled where necessary.

Devaluing the Flip
For certain products like Elite Trainer Boxes, we may remove outer shrink wrap and sell packs individually. This reduces resale appeal while still delivering the same experience for genuine collectors and players.

Marking to Prevent Resale Abuse
We discreetly mark certain items to discourage immediate resale. It’s a simple step, but it helps protect the integrity of our stock and ensures it stays with the community it was intended for.

Community Over Profit
We’d rather sell to ten happy customers than one reseller. Everything we do is built around keeping the hobby accessible, enjoyable, and fair.

What This Means for You
If you’re buying to enjoy, collect, build or play—you’re exactly who we’re here for. These measures are designed to protect your access, not restrict it.

If you ever have questions about limits or availability, just ask. Transparency matters to us, and we’re always happy to explain.

The Brick Hut isn’t just a shop—it’s a community. And we’ll always do what we can to protect it.
